If you had hoped to visit the interior of the House on June 20th 2009, we are both sad and pleased to say we are at capacity and can no longer accept any more new members this year.

Thanks to everyone who has joined this year in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Eames House. We appreciate your enthusiasm and support. As you know, both the House and the meadow are fragile and small and so we are pleased to say we have reached maximum capacity for this year's Members Appreciation Day.

Membership requests for 2010 will re-open September 1 2009.

In 2009, The Eames House, Case Study House #8, will be celebrating its 60th anniversary. A house that began as an experiment using industrial materials, has become an elegant classic of modern design. On June 17, 2007, Charles' 100th birthday, the Eames House was formally declared a National Historic Landmark.

Each year, only on Members Appreciation Day, the Charles and Ray Eames Foundation invites its members to experience a very special opportunity—to enter the House on an interior guided tour. This is your chance to experience the House as a guest, welcomed by the Eames family.

Interior House Tour* Meadow Picnic
During the afternoon, experience the Eames House. Delight in walking inside the Eames House and Studio, and enjoy the Eameses' warmly layered, careful arrangements. Savor a delicious picnic out on the meadow, overlooking the ocean.

House of Cards* Add Your Story to the Oral History
Design your own card and build a communal House of Cards. Share stories with members of the Eames family and the Eames Foundation staff and docents. Meet others with the passion for Charles and Ray's philosophies, designs and joy.

Eames Gift
Everyone receives an Eames Gift. But one attendee also receives a very special prize, to be revealed at Members Appreciation Day.
