The Eames House is a landmark of mid-20th century modern architecture. It was constructed in 1949 by husband-and-wife design pioneers Charles and Ray Eames, to serve as their home and studio.
Charles was once quoted as saying, “We don’t take our pleasures seriously enough.” Supporting the Foundation gives you an opportunity to take your pleasures seriously. Your contribution not only lets you visit and enjoy the Eames House, but it also helps maintain the Eames House for generations to come.
Through your generosity, Charles and Ray Eames’ approach to life and work will be extended, celebrated, and, in the best of all possible worlds, provide inspiration for others.
Powers of Ten Program
A fun way to support the Foundation is to celebrate and remember Charles and Ray’s memorable film Powers of Ten by joining through our Powers of Ten Program, which is available at most levels. Join, and ten equal monthly payments will be billed to you.
Gift an Eames fan with a Membership to the Foundation. Of course, Foundation Membership benefits apply only to the person(s) receiving the Gift Membership.
Members Appreciation Day
Every year, members are invited to join us for a Saturday afternoon in June for Members Appreciation Day. On this special day, members are invited to tour the ground floor of the Eames residence and Studio and to celebrate with experiences that illuminate the Eameses’ approach to life and work. The date for the next celebration will be scheduled at the beginning of 2018, but is usually near June 20: Charles and Ray’s wedding anniversary. Attendance is limited to the first 60 RSVPs. Click here to learn more about the day.
We thank you for your generosity and look forward to meeting you at Members Appreciation Day!
