All rights reserved.\n\n\n\nThis Mother’s Day\, we’re inviting you to slow down and gather in one of Los Angeles’s most beloved landscapes: the sweeping eucalyptus-framed meadow surrounding the iconic Eames House in Pacific Palisades\, with its breathtaking views stretching out toward the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica Beach. \n\n\n\nCharles and Ray Eames loved to picnic here with teenage Lucia Eames in the years before and immediately after the House was built\, then continued this practice with the five Eames grandchildren. It was a way of inhabiting their landscape\, sharing food with people they loved\, and finding joy in the everyday.  \n\n\n\nOn Sunday\, May 10th from 11am to 1:30pm\, we’re reviving this tradition and inviting you to be part of it—with plenty of time to linger and enjoy! \n\n\n\nWhether you’re bringing your mother\, your daughters\, a dear friend\, or a woman who means the world to you\, this is a moment designed to celebrate her beautifully. \n\n\n\nWhat’s included \n\n\n\nYour experience begins with a warm orientation to the Eames House\, an intimate introduction to Charles and Ray’s life and work here\, and the special role this meadow played in their daily rituals. While interior access to the house is not included\, guests will have the wonderful opportunity to glimpse inside through open doors\, and to step inside Charles and Ray’s private onsite studio. \n\n\n\nThen\, settle into your picnic blanket. We’ve taken care of everything else.  \n\n\n\nSavor a gourmet picnic lunch catered by our neighbors at Canyon Grocer\, featuring your choice of artisan sandwich or charcuterie board\, crisp chips\, organic farmers’ market berries\, and a sweet dessert. Toast the occasion with an open bar offering a selection of organic Avaline wines and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages. \n\n\n\nEach blanket comes with a few special surprises\, too—little gifts that feel right at home in a place like this. \n\n\n\nTickets & reservations \n\n\n\nThis is an intimate\, limited event with no more than 32 guests total. Each picnic blanket is set for up to four guests and is priced at $1\,200—all sales are final. Please note that you must reserve the entire blanket and select four meals even if your expected party size is less than 4 people.
