The Leading Edge

A live action film study of the development of the Supersonic Transport plane (SST) for the U.S. government. It demonstrates the degree to which computers are used to support design development and production in an aerospace manufacturing facility. Filmed on location at the aircraft manufacturing facility in Seattle, Washington, the narration describes the steps taken to establish design, and procedures for making new products.
