Los Angeles Launch Event
On Saturday, October 25, the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation celebrated our Los Angeles launch at the Eames House, welcoming an inspiring group of over 150 supporters, thinkers, and creators.
The House—designed and lived in by Charles and Ray—remains at the heart of the Foundation’s work: a place where curiosity, creativity, and connection continue to thrive. This milestone reminds us how deeply their ideas resonate across generations and inspires us to carry their vision forward, both at the Eames House and through global partnerships, programming, and initiatives.

PRS Screening
In May, the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation and Philosophical Research Society hosted The Poetry of Communication: An Evening of Films by Charles and Ray Eames. The program featured classic Eames films like Powers of Ten, Think, and House: After Five Years of Living, highlighting their unique approach to communication.
Following the screenings, programmer Alex McDonald moderated a panel with Eames Demetrios (Director of the Eames Office), Jeannine Oppewall (filmmaker and former Eames Office staff), and award-winning creative duo Adi Goodrich & Sean Pecknold (Sing-Sing), who discussed the enduring creativity and influence of the Eameses’ filmmaking.

MoMA Launch Event
In May, the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation hosted our New York launch event at the Museum of Modern Art. Charles & Ray Eames Foundation Chairman Eames Demetrios, Executive Director Adrienne Luce, and Board Members Carla Hartman and Jackie Cassel gave an introduction to the Foundation’s mission, vision, and upcoming programs and initiatives. Guests were then surprised as Charles Eames’ voice filled the room—an excerpt from his 1970-71 Harvard Norton Lectures closing the remarks with a timeless reflection on design and the need to adapt and embrace change.
After breakfast, Eames Demetrios and a group of our guests gained early access to visit the Eameses’ Study of a Glider Nose from 1943 as well as an early Eames model RAR Rocking Armchair, both featuring in MoMA’s exhibition, ‘Pirouette - Turning Points in Design.’

Milan Design Week
To celebrate the official launch of the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation, the Eames family, friends, and members of the global design community gathered for breakfast in the light-flooded reading room of the Fondazione Feltrinelli, overlooking the surrounding rooftops of Milan’s Porta Volta neighborhood. The event also debuted the Foundation’s first program: 'Designing Resilience,' a talk with design critic and author Alice Rawsthorn, designer Nifemi Marcus-Bello and Eames Demetrios, grandson of Charles and Ray, director of the Eames Office, and chairman of the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation.
