Eames House: Impressions of Light – Exhibition Viewing and Cyanotype Workshop
May 16 @ 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Join us for a special open day at the Eames House, offering free access to explore the grounds and a last chance to experience our inaugural art exhibition, Eames House: Impressions of Light.
The exhibition features artist James Clar’s monumental cyanotype banners, Sunlight Filtered Through the Eames House (2024), which were developed using the Eames House Studio as a literal lens.
Eames House staff will lead a complimentary one-hour Cyanotype Making Workshop. Cyanotype—one of the earliest photographic processes—uses sunlight to create luminous blue-and-white prints. Participants will prepare light-sensitive paper and compose their own prints using botanical elements and found objects, capturing the essence of the Eames House in their own work.
All materials will be provided. Workshop registration is limited to two participants per booking. To accommodate as many visitors as possible, please limit your time on site to one hour.
