We have exciting news! We are releasing our reserve of special-edition, red-tone Eames Eucalyptus Low Tables (LTRs). Join now as a Eucalyptus LTR Member and experience the satisfaction of receiving one of these limited-edition gifts, as well as supporting critical conservation work on the Eames House.
What makes these Eames LTRs so special? They feature a solid top made from eucalyptus trees harvested from the Eames House site under our Landscape Management Plan. Thanks to our founding sponsors Vitra, Herman Miller and the Eames Office, in partnership with Angel City Lumber, trees planted on site in the 1880s were given a second life as Eames LTRs—truly a celebration of beautiful material. Read more about the constraints that were addressed in order to use this “wild” wood.
Wood from two trees on site was used: one light brown, the other red-tone. Herman Miller, Vitra and the Eames Office contributed 50 LTRs made from the second tree, No. 167, as an exclusive for our fundraiser. These limited red-tone LTRs are available only as a gift through the Eames Foundation by signing up as a Eucalyptus LTR Member.
We are very grateful to the many people who signed up and supported the Eames Foundation in our initial release of Eucalyptus LTR Memberships. Check out current Eucalyptus Member Adam Tinklepaugh’s Eucalyptus LTR in its new home among a family of other Eames LTRs (look right!).
